I must confess that not all of this track was written this week. The main verse guitar part was written around October 2010. Since that time I have tried to write lyrics to it twice and did so unsuccessfully. I really liked the guitar part but couldn't seem to write anything good to it. This week I decided to pull the tune out again and see if I could do anything with it (Cue my amazing wife who has a brilliant way with words. Did I mention she has almost finished her Masters!?). Anyway, she thought the song needed lyrics and the initial version I played her was a bit softer and more like a lullaby. I accidentally ramped it up in production, but the original version inspired reflection of Zechariah's song (Luke 1) as an evening prayer. The lyrics try to intimate something of God's ongoing covenantal love to for His people that echoes through His story, then, now, and always.
